Tap into your creativity and experience an alternative approach to the basis of relief printmaking. In this class, students will explore experimental techniques to uniquely carve, transfer, and raise with household and food items to create textured relief prints. This class will guide you to find your unique combination of lines, shapes, marks, and methods!
NOTE: This class is appropriate for both adults and teens.
This online course will be broken into two sessions:
- Wednesday, November 4, 6-7:30pm
- Tuesday, November 10, 6-7:30pm
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR, ISABELLA MANFREDI:
Isabella Manfredi is a project-based artist, often incorporating printmaking, sewing, painting, and installation. Her work investigates the tendency to romanticize memory, self-identity, and feelings of loneliness. She is currently producing one-of-a-kind screenprint garments and masks. Isabella received a Bachelor’s degree in Art Practice with a Minor in Journalism from the University of California, Berkeley. She currently lives and works in Berkeley, CA.
