Inflamed: Deep Medicine and the Anatomy of Injustice

Description

SORRY, THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED. We are looking to reschedule to a future date.

The COVID pandemic has placed health as a primary focus, social injustice is being seen more clearly than ever before, and the changing climates can no longer be ignored. Please join co-authors of the new book Inflamed: Deep Medicine and the Anatomy of Injustice, Dr. Rupa Marya and Raj Patel, as they share their latest work: a profoundly radical and intensively researched look at the links between the human body, the environment, and the injustices of our political and economic systems. Be part of a conversation with the authors, whose work sits at the nexus of climate, health, and racial justice — and a shared value in the work of decolonizing food and medicine.

The conversation will be followed by a Q&A and book signing (hosted by Books, Inc). Copies of the book can also be ordered in advance here.

Presented in partnership with Art Forum SF: SALA Pre-Event Conversations.
