In collaboration with the United Lowrider Council of San Jose and Local Color SJ, Montalvo is proud to present our first-ever Lowrider Art Showcase. This collaboration seeks to strengthen community through the power of the arts, and we are excited to invite you to join us on our beautiful grounds for a free event exploring the abundant artistry and rich culture of the Bay Area lowrider scene.
The day will be fun for the entire family! See an incredible range of lowrider cars on the lawn; enjoy art making and painting demonstrations in the gardens; engage with local artists and vendors; get dancing to live DJ music; and grab a bite from a local food vendor. Drop in to the Carriage House Theatre for panel conversations on the history of Lowrider magazine and the influence of the lowrider aesthetic on some of the most well-known Silicon Valley brand designs. Bring your family and friends and spend the day with us!
