Salt & Poetry Reading & Writing Workshop Cultivating the Creative Life: Who Am I Now?

Join us for an afternoon of Salt & Poetry. Hilary King, Nancy L. Meyer, Jessica Cohn, and Stephanie Pressman (left to right) will engage the audience in conversation about the rewards and challenges of creative expression, especially as older adults.

The program will feature readings followed by a book signing. Available for purchase will be: Hilary King’s Stitched on Me, Nancy L. Meyer’s The Stoop and the Steeple, Jessica Cohn’s Gratitude Diary, and Stephanie Pressman’s Lovebirdman.

Hello, Goodbye, Hello, the Lucas Artists Program’s 20th anniversary book, will also be available for purchase.

This 2-hour program will also offer guided creative writing prompts, please feel free to bring your favorite journal and writing utensil.

Cultivating the Creative Life: Who Am I Now?

Recharge your creative side at Who Am I Now? facilitated by writers from Salt & Poetry. Join this two-hour program to share reflections, re-envision your own path, and give your 2025 a more creative focus.

Is there enough art in your life? Do you wonder if there’s a more imaginative way to respond to daily events and the world at large? Hear how these seasoned writers put creative expression at the center of their lives – and the benefits that come with that dedication.

Hear their stories. Explore your own. Through sharing, listening, and personal expression, participants will come away with practical tips for living a more vibrant life.

During this collaborative session, you will:

  • Meet and hear from Salt & Poetry poets
  • Share the impetus for cultivating your own creative life
  • Hear poems about feeling the call to change
  • Respond in writing
  • Share and discuss: What is a creative life? Do I want one? How can I claim or enhance my own?
  • Create a take-away of shared discoveries
