Charles Esten
Esten made his theatrical debut in London when he portrayed Buddy Holly, singing, acting and playing guitar in the hit West End musical “Buddy.” It was during his run as Buddy that Esten first appeared on the original British version of “Whose Line Is It Anyway?,” becoming a recurring cast member and frequent song improvisor when the show came to ABC.
Esten has been honored to perform across the US, UK, and Germany for the past several years, including the Grand Ole Opry, the historic Ryman auditorium, and the Royal Albert Hall, in addition to numerous festivals. His highly anticipated independent debut album, Love Ain’t Pretty, was more than ten years in the making. First taking shape when Esten arrived in Music City to play ‘Deacon Claybourne’ on ABC/CMT’s Nashville, the full-length project now showcases a singer-songwriter with a masterful grasp of the full human condition.
In addition, Esten serves as the National Honorary Spokesperson for the Leukaemia & Lymphoma Society’s annual Light The Night Walk, and is a board member and volunteer for Musicians On Call.
