Do we need new models to control and understand the value of our data? What are the dangers of data-driven decision making? What is the best way to protect our privacy while not impeding future innovation?
Amidst a global conversation around the ethics of data mining and the future of online privacy, Kaimera Productions present their new project DATAPRINT in a work-in-progress immersive installation/workshop. Kaimera will invite audiences to examine the impact of their online fingerprint and question the ethics of data privacy. This gathering is an opportunity for the Paris and New York live arts collective to fine-tune DATAPRINT, with feedback and insights from Montalvo audiences. Following the trial run at Montalvo, the work will premiere simultaneously at the Tech Museum in San Jose, at the Cubbon Park Metro Station in Bangalore, India, as part of the 2018 Art In Transit Festival, and at After Tomorrow, a season by the French Consulate in San Francisco.
