GRAMMY-winning Alphabet Rockers come to the Montalvo Arts Center for the first time with music from their impactful new album about climate liberation, created with artists and children from around the world. The artists make music that makes change, creating inclusive spaces to shape a world of belonging. Audiences explore elements of hip hop together, share moments to express and uplift affirmations, reflections and get MOVING in celebration and joy! Featuring Kaitlin McGaw, Tommy Shepherd, Samara Atkins and Roza Do.
Alphabet Rockers are one of the most influential family music acts of our time. Every song, lyric and experience brings people of all ages together at a time in our world where we need more compassion and empathy. Their unique blend of catchy melodies and thoughtful messages has garnered critical acclaim since they began in 2007 in Oakland, CA.
Performing Arts Series for Students:
This series has been curated to include performances examining timely social themes through an integrated learning lens and giving a platform to diverse cultural perspectives with links to California Arts Standards and the California Arts Education Framework.
Each date offers two performance times to chose from: 9:30am or 11:30am.
Those attending the 11:30am performance are invited to stay after and picnic on the lawn.
