Wild Forage Wreath & Centerpiece Making: The Creekside Studio is the location for this fun and crafty holiday workshop: create a beautiful, locally sourced, seasonal wreath to adorn your home for the winter months. Whether you are new to this creative art form or experienced, this workshop will provide you with the techniques and wild-foraged materials required to express yourself. We'll have a choice of wreath bases, from vineyard branches to wire, and all the wild-foraged greenery and floral materials on hand for use from the Santa Cruz Mountains and Montalvo.

Embroidered Greeting Cards: Take part in an evening of creativity and camaraderie in our newly-renovated Art Barn as you create your very own paper embroidered holiday seasonal art cards or gift tags. Embellish your artistic paper card designs with beads and sequins to personalize with sparkle and joy. Whether you are new to paper crafts and stitching or are an experienced embroidery artist, this workshop will provide you with the techniques and materials to make two to five colorful cards. You’ll be delighted by how simple designs become beautiful gift cards!

Ranger-Led Moon Rising Nature Hike: Join the Santa Clara County Park Rangers for this early winter moon rising nature hike on one of the beautiful Montalvo trails! Step by step, with every generation of your family, walk the trail at your own pace surrounded by native plants and animals of the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Please bring your flashlight and dress in layers. Anticipate your evening hike and note that the Waning Gibbous Moon can be seen in the early morning daylight hours on the western horizon.

Beer, wine, and water is included as part of each of the art classes. Join us as we Make (art) and Mingle with old and new friends in this fun evening at Montalvo!
