Experience the power of poetry and performance. Bring your students to this abridged adaptation of Shakespeare's comedy A Midsummer Night’s Dream, performed by two professional actors…with help from your students, of course! This interactive, high-energy performance encourages students to become participants in the production and storytelling using Shakespeare’s language.
In this telling of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, five working class Athenians meet in the woods to rehearse a play that they hope to perform at the Duke of Athens' wedding. Unfortunately for them, the Fairy King and Fairy Queen who rule these woods are currently at war, and our five Athenians get caught up in the magical hijinks! The performance will be followed by a 10-15 minute Q&A session from the stage.
