"I Am Arte: a ritual en love" is the fourth and final installment in Jenn Johns’ nine-year series of transmutation rituals. Past rituals explored themes of pain, healing, and transformation, including racism and policing (Liv: A Ritual for Humanity from our 2018 AOG Festival), sexual trauma (reD:zONE), and romantic love (The Love Epoch).
This latest work is a ritual for self-love, created from the guiding belief that we can transform deep pain into healing through intentional reimagining. Designed to engage all the senses, this immersive experience gently encourages and disarms attendees, creating a safe space for them to explore and deepen their own love of self.
The performance unfolds in four interconnected sections—Sound, Unison, Harmony, and Chorus—each representing a step in the journey of self-love, connection, and collective transformation. It invites audiences into a shared vibration of alignment, love, and connection, offering inspiration for personal and collective wellness.
